So I'm fully aware that I've lied my ass off about submitting art anytime soon, but I'd like to remind everyone that AX is just around the corner and that I am determined to make an amazing costume, despite my having procrastinated like mad on it so that I can spend as much time with the man as humanly possible before I go back to school 3,000 miles away from him for eight months. To remind anyone who was remotely interested in my life beyond my work (which I don't expect anyone to be, given the impersonal context of the internet), that costume is actually the only way I'd have met him in the first place, and so I work on this less out of bitter competition as I did last year, and more as an ode to fond memories and to an unlikely but deep and lasting love (as disgustingly cheesy and saturated with mushy emotions as that sounds). I will be sure to spam my account and all your deviant entries with pictures of this spectacularly embarrassing event that is Animé Expo. For those of you who are interested in my silly dress-up hobby, stay tuned. For those who are interested in preserving the integrity of traditional art, however, you'll have to wait a bit longer, and I begrudge you not for growing impatient and removing my account from your list of intrigue, though I would humbly like to offer the reassurance that when I deliver, I aim to make it well worth the wait. I appreciate everyone's support and patience.
